The new Ford Mustang redefines driving freedom with its cabin and engines

Ford is once again attracting sports car enthusiasts around the world with the introduction of the all-new Ford Mustang, the most exciting and enthusiastic seventh-generation model yet, featuring a digital cockpit inspired by fighter jets as well as advanced new naturally aspirated turbocharged engines. With its most modern and timeless exterior.

"Investing in a new generation of Mustang is a huge step at a time when many of our competitors are leaning towards internal combustion vehicles," said Jim Farley, Ford's CEO.

"Ford is also expanding its plans to develop self-combustion engines and adopt the latest related technology solutions, as well as hybrid systems to include them in our most profitable Ford Blue cars, as well as investing $50 billion in electric vehicles through 2026." New to the motoring world, it combines the looks, sound and appeal of the world's best-selling sports coupe for seven consecutive years in the convertible, coupe, V8, 4-cylinder, turbo, manual or automatic classes offered at multiple prices and performance levels.

Entirely new interior design:

Behind the chiseled exterior silhouette of the seventh-generation Mustang is the cockpit that is more technologically advanced than any previous Mustang and is entirely driver-centric. The fighter-inspired cabin provides the driver with two flowing and curved screens that can be individually customized quickly to show the information the driver wants or needs to see.

With the adoption of Unreal Engine 3D tools used in modern video games, the 12.4-inch car digital instrument cluster can be customized to display different animations and new visuals that fit the driving situation.

We can be creative in displaying essential driving information and giving the driver control over a choice of colors, classic Mustang gauges, or even a 'quiet' screen where only the limit is displayed minimal details."

The Mustang's default dashboard setup has shifted from traditional cool blue and light gray tones to an ultra-modern, brass look that's also shared with the Mustang Mach-E. Nearly everything can be controlled in the displays as well as ambient interior lighting to specific tunes, while adjusting Instrument clusters with a choice of driving mode.

When drive mode settings are selected, the vehicle's current setting is displayed on the center stack as real-time graphic receipts. The settings can also be adjusted simply by swiping the drawing to rotate the car virtually in a simulated game style.

This digital instrument cluster can optionally be configured to flow seamlessly into a 13.2-inch SYNC® 4 center stack behind a single piece of integrated glass angled toward the driver.

“We knew what customers wanted and built the most digital Mustang ever while keeping the very important driver-focused cockpit," said Ricardo Garcia, Ford's director of interior design. Incorporating it into a digital screen is commonplace and in keeping with traditional Millennials, Gen-Z and Mustangs alike."

Off the screen, an all-new, racing-inspired flat-top steering wheel offers more seating space.

On the outside, animated welcome lighting greets drivers as they approach, and when entering the car, Mustang's flowing screens come to life. And for fans of the spinning engine sound, Mustang offers the Rev Remote Control System, providing the ability to remotely rev the car's engine using a keychain.

Mustangs feature a standard all-cloth interior with optional micro-suede vinyl inserts and black seat belts, while Premium models benefit from updated wraps stitched across the dashboard and door trim. EcoBoost models feature Ford's "ActiveX" synthetic leather upholstery with multiple color options, while GT models gain leather seat accessories.

The higher-end models offer an improved all-leather steering wheel, as well as a choice of colored stitching and prominent upholstery perforations across the seat, complemented by color-coordinated and asymmetric stripes on the seat belts.

The center console could also include a wireless mobile phone charging pad, while new overhead USB ports are mounted above the cockpit, conveniently positioned for track cameras and other devices, helping to prevent wires from winding through the cabin.

The available B&O audio system has been optimized to match the vehicle, contributing to the deeper experience of Mustang ownership. Customers can share their ultimate driving playlist through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both fully compatible with SYNC 4.

Amazon Alexa integrated with Ford Streaming enables music and podcast playback with simple voice commands. Like the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV, the all-new Mustang also features Ford Power-Up software update capability.

Eye-catching design with timeless Mustang touches with more options:

The seventh generation adds a modern, sculpted look to its heritage-inspired design, targeting more Mustang customers.

A low horizontal brow across the front emphasizes the overall front view, while the upper grille's design is influenced by the original design of the 1960s. Tri-Bar LED headlights continue the signature Mustang classic lighting signature. Its sleek roofline, wide stance and short rear sprint also match the original proportions of the first generation, while the widened rear lines signal power at the wheels in true Mustang style.

The roofline has been optimized for driver entry and exit without removing their helmet on the track, and an extended rear wing unit includes new signature three-spoke lighting and a redesigned diffuser to improve aerodynamic balance at the rear.

Each model in the Mustang lineup carries its own unique front end. The GT is distinguished from EcoBoost models by larger, more robust grille vents that allow for increased airflow, reflecting increased power and performance. The aerodynamics of the car has been improved by

Added new hood air vents and redesigned the front splitter.

"Both the EcoBoost and Mustang GT have unique styling cues that deliver on their promise of Mustang performance," said Christopher Walter, Ford Mustang design director. "The new Mustang is more about design and modernity as it embodies the identity of the classic Mustang."

The Convertible Mustang continues to highlight its distinct identity as it offers maximum outdoor freedom. Easy one-touch movement with a central single-handle latch that opens and closes the fully lined, insulated fabric roof. The compact roof design and independent rear suspension system also contribute to the class-leading trunk space that can accommodate up to two golf bags.

The all-new Mustang is launched with 11 exterior color options including two new colors, Vapor Blue and YellowSplash, complemented by new colors and stripe designs. Customers can also choose from three Brembo brake caliper color options: black, red and Grabber blue, as well as an all-new set of alloy wheels, which range from the standard 17-inch size on base models to 19-inch for the GT with optional 20-inch alloy wheels.

New for 2024 is the Mustang Design Series, which offers more customization options straight from the factory. The Bronze Design Series Appearance Package adds Sinister Bronze alloy wheels with bronze decals, and is available on EcoBoost and GT models, with or without the optional Performance Package.

It starts with the Mustang GT, now powered by a sophisticated 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. The fourth-generation 5.0-liter is set to provide the most naturally-aspirated horsepower of any Mustang GT thanks to an innovative dual-intake box and dual-exhaust body design, which helps reduce inductance loss by enabling higher air flow rates.

"It's the most sporty and inspirational Mustang EcoBoost and GT to drive to date," said Ed Krens, Ford Mustang chief engineer. “Whether you drive an automatic or a manual transmission, with drive modes, precise digital engine, suspension and steering controls, we can now give drivers peak performance everywhere from their favorite roads to the local track.”

Ford has made manual transmissions available for a new generation, and the 5.0-liter V8 continues to offer a standard 6-speed, eight-cylinder manual transmission. Faster steering ratios and lower steering-to-wheel compliance significantly enhance the car's cornering dynamics, while increasing straight-line power.

Class-first electronic drift brakes take the new, advanced class to the racetrack, showcasing the Mustang's rear-wheel-drive drifting capability with the visual appearance and functionality of a traditional mechanical parking brake. Efficiently matching the performance package on all Mustang models, the electronic parking brake is specifically designed for novice drivers to learn and improve their drifting skills while providing expert drivers with a competition-ready system.
