Dodge unveils its first electric muscle car... the Charger Daytona SRT

Dodge's journey into electric muscle cars began in the form of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept car that the company recently showed off on the third day of the action-packed Dodge Speed Week, and many are unanimously agreed that this car is unlike any other.

The attendees were able to examine the new electric muscle car closely, and according to numerous reports on various specialized news sites, this is what Dodge has said about this car so far.

Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Engine

The automaker equipped the concept with an engine that broke the limits of power and all the key performance measures of the engines it had previously introduced (Hemi, Hellcat and Redeye), and this new engine would be known as the Banshee.
The company hasn't yet told us how much horsepower or torque it has, but it has confirmed that it's 800-volts and will outperform the SRT Hellcat's engine.

The performance of this car will be enhanced by other ingeniously developed elements of Dodge; Firstly, the engine is connected to a new multi-speed eRupt transmission with electromechanical paddle shifting that shifts gears at the touch of a button, and secondly, PowerShot technology has been added which increases horsepower for better acceleration.

Parent company Stylantis has already promised huge fans that one of its upcoming Dodge cars will make a "shocking sound", and it has delivered on its promise by adding a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system consisting of an amplifier and under-mounted tuning chamber.

Electromuscular design

Dodge has not fallen into the design trap of electric cars, as we are used to seeing new electric cars with a slightly futuristic design, which most agree lacks the features that make up a large part of the original car's identity, and this is exactly what Dodge avoided while building the Charger Daytona SRT, It highlights the original Charger Daytona's design while adding some futuristic touches to keep up with this era.

New futuristic touches center on the front fascia consisting of a lighting strip installed around the grille and centered on the illuminated Fratzog logo, as well as an R-type front spoiler that facilitates airflow, improving downforce that increases the car's stability on the road at high speeds.
Interior of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT
Many attendees were surprised by the interior design of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT, who said they were able to see a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 16-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as a head-up display.
The interior is adorned with adjustable ambient lighting, giving the seats an exceptional look with carbon-fibre textured seats, and we can't be distracted by the flat-tipped steering wheel and the panoramic glass roof.
The company has not made any statements confirming that the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT will enter the production stages, but there is some speculation that it will happen in 2024.
