The look of the new BMW M2 ahead of its debut on October 11

Cars - BMW has released a new teaser image for the second generation M2 expected to debut on October 11th. Spy photos of the car appeared during the tests conducted over the past months. And the teaser image of the car appeared in the form of a spy photo from the company, where the car was presented with a camouflaged body.

It appears that BMW has developed a series of M Performance parts for this car and some of them appear in the prototype that the company offered. One of the most visible accessories is the large fixed rear spoiler that will ensure this model is not to be confused with the standard 2 Series Coupe. The M2 also has a common central four-outlet system like the one on the M4.

In addition to its distinctive design, the new car comes with the same 3-liter engine with two turbochargers as the M3. The power reaches about 450 horsepower. A 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission can be provided. The power is sent to the rear wheels of the car or via the xDrive all-wheel drive system. The latter system will not be available at launch but can be added to at a later time.

The new M2 will be available in a range of different colours. These include Zandvoort blue, Toronto red, Brooklyn gray, and sapphire black. Additional special colors are also required by BMW Individual.
