officially: Ford Mustang will debut on September 14 in its seventh generation

Cars - "The all-new seventh-generation Mustang is on the way," Ford spokesman Mike Levine previously said. And clearly, the time has come, as Ford has officially confirmed the car's debut. The 2023 Ford Mustang S650 will debut on September 14 at the Detroit Auto Show.

"The Mustang is the best-selling sports car in the world because there are versions for everyone," said Jim Farley, Ford's president and CEO. This includes the EcoBoost Convertible and the 5.0-liter V8 GT Fastback coupe." He added, "Now is the time to welcome the next chapter in the Mustang legacy, the seventh generation, which will be our best to date."

Ford will perform at Hart Plaza in Detroit, just off Woodward Street. It is an important street in Detroit's automobile culture and the first paved road in America. Unfortunately, Ford hasn't provided details of the festivities yet, saying only that the debut will begin at 8:00 p.m. Detroit time.

Ford will also launch another event that includes the six generations of Ford Mustangs in one location. It will come in the name of a cross-country adventure with all six generations of Mustangs. The brand will be called The Drive Home. Ford will expand this annual road trip to the Detroit Auto Show and invite all Mustang owners, as well as anyone else willing to take part in the ride.

The Drive Home launches September 6 at the Automobile Museum of America, in Tacoma, Washington. From there, the trip will cover nine states and more than a dozen stations, ending at Ford's headquarters on the 14th of next month.
